A Solid Timeline
The rest of my tests and appointments for the transplant assessment are scheduled for early June. I learned that I had misunderstood the order of events. I thought that I would have the testing done, the transplant team would review my case, make a decision, and if the decision was a “yes” to qualifying for transplant that I would then have the appointments with the surgeons in June. It turns out that those appointments are part of the transplant assessment. So I will have tests and appointments June 2-4 and June 9. The 9th is my right heart catheterization which is the most invasive test by far. I had one in December and the pressure in my veins was high and my cardiologist didn’t think I’d be a transplant candidate. I will have been on the jardiance for six months by then and my fluid is much more under control so hopefully I get a better result or if not, that the pressure doesn’t preclude me from transplant.
The team will discuss my case on June 10 and I will be contacted on June 11 with the outcome of that meeting. While I wish I didn’t have to wait so long, having a firm date is very welcome.
Between now and June I’m going to continue doing things I enjoy. Later in April I’m going to my Mom’s in Oklahoma for a long weekend to visit and for my brother’s birthday. In May my Mom and I are going to New Hampshire to visit my sister (our trip will be shortly after her birthday) and then I’m going to New York City for a week! I’ve not been to New York since 2015 and I’m looking forward to going back. My big splurge was buying a ticket to see George Clooney in Good Night and Good Luck on Broadway. He and Grant Heslov wrote the script for the movie that came out in 2005 and now they’ve adapted it for a stage production. I also have a ticket to attend a live taping of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. That’s on May 22 so if you watch that show, look for me in the audience!
Also, here’s a photo of Lola sleeping on her sofa.

Hoping you have all positive answers from your tests and the transplant team. Until then, enjoy your wonderful trips ahead! Sending all good vibes to you. 💕
No she doesn’t have her own sofa?! Looks like she enjoys it. 😂
